Academic Position: Associate Professor in Mining Informatics
Associate professor in Mining Informatics, Head of the Department of Mineral Resources Engineering, and Director of the Mining Informatics and Machine Learning Applications Lab at the University of Western Macedonia. Mining engineer and mine planning software specialist with 20 years of experience in mine planning, geostatistics and AI applications in mining. Providing consulting, training and supporting services to mining companies in Europe, Africa and Asia. Competent/Qualified Person for metals, coal and marble resources and reserves reporting. Ongoing research projects include the application of artificial neural networks and soft computing techniques to mining problems, geostatistics, pit optimisation and scheduling.
